You'd Think They'd Wise Up After A While

So in the face of an AP European History test I wasn't aware was occurring today, an unfinished journalism project, inability to function and general distaste for Mondays, I have concluded that the path of least resistance would be to simply take a "sick day".

I am of course not sick, but my mother buys into it so very easily that it almost begs to be capitalised on. I merely had to roll up into a ball, whimper a bit and claim I puked in the middle of the night and she's all up in arms, "YOU JUST ATE JUNK FOOD ALL WEEKEND, DIDN'T YOU?" and calls me out of school.

I've used up all of my generic nondescript headaches/stomachaches for this year, I think. And there's only so many times you can puke in the middle of the night. I'm going to need to get more creative. Cramps with a side of fever? Icy hands? I don't know. I could, I suppose, just face up to my procrastination and actually stay on top of work...

FEBRUARY FOOLS, yeah right.
